(1)

The 'North-East Scotland Pool Tour' is not governed by, or affiliated to, any national or international body.

(2)

The 'North-East Scotland Pool Tour' is a privately-run, non-profit, series of 8-ball pool tournaments existing solely to provide a format by which pool players in Scotland 's North-East area can compete against each other.

(3)

Tour season 2007 will consist of four events, each held over 1-day.

(4)

To enable each event to be completed on the day, tour entry is restricted to 32 players only.

(5)

Each tour event venue must meet a minimum requirement of 4 pool tables.

(6)

For season 2007, all matches are played to WEPF World Rules. Matches are best of 11, with best of 13 in the final.

Note: At the end of each tour season a vote between all members will determine rules used for following season.

(7)

Every effort has been made to ensure the tour dates do not change during the season. If this is necessary due to unforseen circumstances, as much prior notice as possible will be given, with a new date being set.

(8)

At the end of season 2007, the bottom six players will be relegated to the Championship Tour for the following season. If any two or more players are tied on the same ranking points after the Grand Final, the higher placed is determined by the most points earned at that event (Grand Final). If still tied it goes to the event before and so on. If still tied there will be a play-off with number of frames to be decided by tournament director.

Entry Details

(13)

Tour entry costs £100 for season 2007. This includes entry into all four tour events and flyer event at Grand Final.

(14)

Entry into the tour is only guaranteed upon receipt of:
(1) completed entry form
(2) £40 deposit (cheques payable to NESPT)

(15)

The remaining balance of £60 can be made in full prior to event 1, or must be made in installments of £20 at each of the first three events. Cheques are not acceptable on the day of a tour event, cash only.

(16)

A deposit is refundable prior to Tour Event 1 only if a replacement player is found to pay the entire tour season.

(17)

Tour event entry fees are non-refundable for players who can't attend, although a player may be substituted into their place at the agreement of the tournament director. This is only allowable for events 1- 3, but not allowable for the Tour Grand Final. Notification of a substitution must be given at the previous event, before the draw for the next event takes place. Any incoming player does not inherit the existing ranking points of the substituted player.

(18)

A player is only eligible to play in the Tour Grand Final if they have paid the full season entry cost of £100.

(19)

At the end of each tour season a vote between all members will determine entry fees for the following season.

(20)

The tournament director reserves the right to deny entry to any individual, and expel any member with or without reason.

General

(21)

In the interest of attracting sponsorship, dress code is restricted to shoes, tailored trousers, shirt or collared t-shirt. No football colours are permitted. Failure to comply will result in a one frame deduction for every match where the dress code is not being met.

(22)

The draw for each tour event will be made in advance, and times will be allocated. The draw will be sent to each player at least one week in advance. If not received at least one week in advance of the tournament date, it is the player's responsibility to contact the tournament director.

(23)

The draw for tour events 1 - 3 will be open (not seeded). The draw for the Grand Final will be seeded (top 8 only) based on rankings after event 3.

(24)

It is the player's responsibility to ensure they are available when their match is called. Should a match be called and a player not arrive, the next available match will go ahead. If no match is available in the same round, the missing player will lose 1 frame for every 5 minutes that he/she does not appear. In extenuating circumstances, where prior warning of at least 30 mins has been given, the discretion of the tournament director will precede.

(25)

Any match deemed to be taking longer than necessary may result in the match being timed.

(26)

Ranking points will be awarded as follows:

Attending event:
5 points

Each frame won:

1 point

Each match won:

2 points

Event winner:

4 points

(27)

There will be no referee present at any of these tournaments, and so good sportsmanship is promoted at all times. In the event that a decision is required, or foresight suggests that a particular shot could prove controversial, it is the responsibility of either player to request the presence of the tournament director, or an alternative person(s) at the agreement of both players.

(28)

The tournament director and venue management expect all players to act in a sportsmanlike manner at all times and to keep control of any supporters they have present during their match. Any ungentlemanly conduct or misbehaviour by players or their supporters will be dealt with as the tournament director / venue management see fit.
